01 About

01.01

Problem Overview

People wash their face 2-3 times each day.

The issue is that...
- The shape and curvature of bowl or vessel sinks produce a considerable amount of splashing, which wastes a lot of water
- Shallower sinks are more likely to cause water to splash all over the counter and the bathroom floor
- Since there is less distance between the faucet spout and the bottom of the sink, water tends to hit the bottom of the basin at a higher speed and bounce out of the sink

85% of U.S. households experience the issue of limescale on bathroom faucets, which are scale deposits left behind by hard water.

01.02

Solution Overview

To combat these issues...
Ebb sets out to create a product that specifically blocks water from splashing out of round and shallow bathroom sinks when people brush their teeth and wash their faces or hands.

Accommodation is important.
Splash barriers should not only fit rectangular sinks and protect one side.
